Ami Mpungwe

Ami Mpungwe was Tanzania’s first High Commissioner to South Africa in 1994, capping a distinguished career Tanzania’s diplomatic service. He was instrumental in attracting a large volume of foreign direct investment from South Africa into Tanzania in the mining, telecoms, retail and financial services sectors and continues to be highly sought after as an advisor to government and the private sector on investment policy. Ambassador Mpungwe holds Directorships in several companies including mining, banking, shipping, manufacturing and insurance. He is the current Chairman of the Tanzania Chamber of Minerals and Energy.

Iddi Simba

Iddi Simba has enjoyed a long successful career in banking, politics and business. He is a former Director-General of the East African Development Bank, a Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade and Industry in the Tanzanian government. He continues to provide high-level advice to the Government of Tanzania, and was recently appointed to the Bomani Commission set up in 2007 to investigate and review mining contracts in Tanzania. He sits on the board of several firms in media, manufacturing and financial services.
