I read your article and I'm shocked to say the least that you might be thinking that companies such as Mwananchi Communications Limited will be hidding the names of the members of its board of directors. I really do not know why that would be of any use to any company.

One thing that you need to understand is that companies will not go around announcing who are seated in their board of directors. This information is usually provided in the need-to-know basis. But its not hidden, when you want it you can get it. How would you expect companies like Mwananchi Communications Ltd which do not a corporate website to communicate this information? Print on the newspapers everyday? Have you made an attempt to ask and denied such information?

Well, if you need this information feel free to ask. Visit http://www.thecitizen.co.tz/contact-us.html there you will find contact details and ask for all the info you need and i guarantee you will get it.

Interesting stuff. Guess there'll be a nice new road from Mtwara to Songea then. And plenty of prospects for some good ole' down to earth hard graft and ufisadi. That will make a change...

Speaking of interesting stuff: where's that media report of yours for 2009? Go on, give us another taster...

Hey, Lindsay - don't worry about it! One of the nice things about blogging is that you learn to take the rough with the smooth. These things are just opinions, and you can't knock no-one for having them.

I don't think Serengeti have anything 'personal' against you, but were making a point about this misfounded discussion of 'culture', which I have to agree does sound a little bit... you know...

My take on what they are really saying about the Heart Of Darkness stuff, is that you are best viewing Tanzania with an inside-out perspective, rather than an outside-in one.

So, I get to the airport this morning at 6.30am for an 11.30am flight because no cars are allowed to move in Lagos between 7 and 10am on the last Saturday of each month. Why? They are cleaning the city up, and everyone is supposed to pitch in. Lagos and Rwanda as kindred spirits? Who'd have thought it.

Anyway, the East African invasion of Nigeria manifested itself in a bank advert. Skye Bank one of Nigeria's major banks, is using the tag line...wait for it...Hakuna Matata! That made me smile all the way across the waist of this wonderful continent.
